Although Sinead O'Connor insisted that Monday's blog post would be the first and last time she would explain the demise of her 16-day marriage, the Irish singer has provided more details about the flubbed drug deal that "frightened" her groom of only a few hours.

Sinead O'Connor, who married drugs counselor Barry Herridge on her 45th birthday at The Little White Wedding Chapel drive-thru in Las Vegas on Dec. 8, said that her search for marijuana on her wedding night led to the split from Herridge on Christmas Eve, according to reports. O' Connor also says that she will never marry, let alone date, ever again.

"I won't under any circumstances ever have any further comments to make on this matter than those I write here this evening," she wrote on her blog Monday. "Either privately or publicly."

Apparently she had a change of heart.

O'Connor told the Sun, a British tabloid, that she ended her brief marriage to Barry Herridge "out of respect and love for the man," explaining that "It felt like I was living in a coffin. It was going to be a coffin for both of us and I saw him crushed." The story was published Wednesday.

The singer made brief reference to "a bit of a wild ride i [sic] took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don't drink" in Monday's blog post.

Turns out, that wild ride ended with the newlyweds being given crack, not marijuana.

O'Connor said that her 420 mission found the couple "in a cab in some place that was quite dangerous.

"I wasn't scared - but he's a drugs counsellor. What was I thinking?" she continued.

"Then I was handed a load of crack. Barry was very frightened - that kind of messed everything up a bit really."

What was she thinking?

Herridge is a counselor and psychotherapist at a youth center for drug abuse in Dublin. In Monday's blog post, O'Connor appealed to the media to refrain from harassing Herridge.

"I wish him to be free and happy and loved and supported and for him to have privacy as that is utmost important for his job and for the children he treats as a therapist, so I plead on theirs and his behalf for media to please leave him and his family alone," O'Connor wrote Sunday. "I really beg this. His family have health issues also and they not need the stress. Please do not doorstep them."

Subsequent posts have not mentioned the marriage at all, instead focusing on O'Connor's return to Twitter and her excitement over the the Golden Globe-nominated song "Lay Your Head Down," which O'Connor will reportedly be performing in Los Angeles on Jan. 6.
