The Apple iPad will be set for sale by Vodafon Hutchison Australia (VHA) and Telstra in approximately six weeks from now.
Fans that were eager to grab the puffed-up device had an unpleasant shock today when Apple pushed the original launching on April towards end of May.
The 3G and Wi-Fi iPad will be offered to Vodafone and three mobile customers with a variety of price plans for all touch screen tablet models. However, the company is keeping the actual price plans tight-lipped.
Telstra is also said to be offering dedicated iPad price plans but whether or not all the versions of the device will be available for sale remains unclear.
Optus has not revealed if it will supply the iPad.
Apple has been forced to delay iPad's arrival due to the tremendous demand for the device in the United States despite the scheduling to arrive at Australia at the end of this month.
According to Australian IT, this is the second time Apple has been forced to put back an iPad launch.
More than 500,000 iPads we sold by Apple since it was first out for sale at the beginning of April, but a flood of complaints regarding the poor Wi-Fi connections and problems charging the device stained its launch.
For now, only the Wi-Fi version of the iPad has been released in the United States but a 3G version is likely to be available later this month. The prices of iPad varies from $US499 ($534) to $US829.
