According to E! News online, popular teen idol, Miley Cyrus, has decided to move on from singing after the release of her new record in June.

The singer and popular Disney actress had revealed on The View that she’s become a bit disheartened because “the music industry isn’t as positive as I’d like it to be.” She had told E! News that she now wants to work only in movies instead.

Miley Cyrus, the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, is a pop singer, songwriter and television and film actress. She rose to fame after starring as the title character in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana.

The 17 year old superstar recently helped mentor the final 11 contestants on American Idol. She also performed her new song ‘When I Look At You’ from her new movie, ‘The Last Song’ which she stars with her current beau Liam Hemsworth. Her performance on the mega popular reality show has been getting mixed reviews.

Cyrus had also revealed to Jay Leno on his show that her favourite contestants are Siabhon Magnus and Casey James. Miley Cyrus loves Siabhon Magnus’ range and something sweet about her while she thinks James reminds her of Keith Urban.
