WASILLA, Alaska - Members of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's church are showing high spirits after a suspicious fire that damaged their building.
Wasilla Bible Church associate pastor John Doak says the congregation realizes the church is more than the building. He says about 1,200 people attended services Sunday at alternate site at Wasilla Middle School.
It wasn't immediately clear whether Palin, the former GOP vice presidential candidate, was among the worshippers.
Damage to the church is estimated at $1 million after Friday's fire. No one was injured. Fire Chief James Steele says the blaze is being investigated as an arson.
