GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - A Gaza medical official says a Palestinian has been killed in a clash with Israeli forces.
Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of Gaza's Health Ministry says Israeli forces clashed with militants in southern Gaza. He says the dead man has not yet been identified.
The Israeli military had no immediate comment.
Friday's clash marked the ongoing unraveling of a truce between Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers. The five-month-old truce was meant to be renewed next month, but has been rocked by violence since early November.
Israel has tightened its blockade of Gaza since violence resumed, saying crossings will open only when militants stop firing rockets at Israeli towns.
Only small shipments of aid and fuel are currently allowed into Gaza.
