Costis Hadzidakis says "at least" 10 companies expressed interest in each separate sale of Olympic's flight operations, technical maintenance and ground handling. Hadzidakis on Monday said the companies would be named later this week and that six potential bidders were interested in all three.

The deadline for potential buyers expired Friday, with only Qatar Airways stating interest publicly so far.

The government plans to liquidate Olympic, to shed most of its estimated 850 million euros ($1.1 billion) in accumulated losses and offer jobs or assistance to any of the 8,100 current employees not hired by the successor company.
