"Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed," according to the group in the video. "If you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom of information then join the cause and kill Facebook for the sake of your own privacy."
Anonymous accuses the social network of selling users' private information to government agencies and security firms. The group claims that privacy settings are only a "delusion" as people's personal information stays on Facebook even after an account is deleted.
"Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your privacy setting," the groups said.
"Facebook knows more about you than your family," they continued, adding that one day people will look back and realize that what the group has done is right.
Anonymous isn't a single entity. Instead, it links hackers all across the world.
AntiSec hacking group, which is linked to Anonymous, last week claimed it stole about 10 gigabytes of information and defaced police websites in retaliation against the arrests of cyber attack suspects.
