Simon Cowell’s upcoming reality show, “The X-Factor” is set to have two hosts as it premieres in the fall.

The British mogul reveals the plan during an interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan. Cowell confirmed that the show will be hosted by a man and a woman - - a move different from “American Idol” which was hosted by two men on its first season.

Meanwhile, Cowell declined to disclose the name of the hosts but promised the public for more details and information about the upcoming show in a conference with journalists scheduled Thursday.

 “Idol” which is also run by Fox was hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkleman on its first season but Seacrest continued on the thrown since. The show has made Ryan the highest-paid television host after he reportedly negotiated for the show last season.

An official of the production company overseeing both “X-Factor” and “Idol” attested that there will be no overlapping of segments and ideas on both the two Fox shows.

"Our job is to make sure the two shows are as distinct as possible," the CEO of FremantleMedia North America, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, was quoted as saying by The Hollywood Reporter.

The CEO has detailed the approaches being undertaken by the production officials and staff in order to avoid ‘cannibalization between the two Fox shows.

Frot-Coutaz said, "For example: We're making sure there are two entirely different teams with no overlap in terms of individuals who are working on both shows. And from a format and tonal standpoint, they're very different. In terms of casting the judges, again, we're making sure the looks are different."

Aside from Antonio "L.A." Reid, no other judges have been named to sit with Cowell when the shows begin in fall. Reid is a former Universal Music executive and the man to have reportedly helped bringing Justin Bieber to superstardom.
