The five men on this list have dominated the rap world for years now. They shaped and changed the way rap music was regarded and also helped shape the future generation of rappers. While the five rappers on this list are probably no surprise, here is the list of today's wealthiest rappers as reported by Forbes.

50 Cent ties Bryan “Birdman” William in terms of wealth. He is also worth $100 million. 50 Cent saw a nine-figure paycheck from the sale of Vitamin Water to Coca-Cola. And that’s not all, since 50 Cent will soon release a movie titled “Things Fall Apart.”

Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams is in the fourth spot with $100 million. Along with Cash Money Records he is also one half of the duo Big Tymers. He also recorded a collaboration album with Lil Wayne.

Rapper and producer Dr. Dre is ranked the third wealthiest rapper with $125 million. Not only did he have a super career, but he helped lauch the careers of Snoop Dogg and Eminem. Dr. Dre is still making profit as he just released a new single.

Jay-Z was a close second as the wealthiest rapper. He is worth approximately $450 million. He has sold more than 50 million records worldwide, owns a clothing label, Rocawear, and is also part owner of the New Jersey Nets.

Sean “Diddy” Combs topped the list of the wealthiest rapper. His fortune is worth about $475 million. The majority of his profits come from his Sean John clothing ine, Bad Boy Worldwide record label, and vodka brand Ciroc.
