A new virtual entrepreneurship hub from the New York University will now enable technology innovation and start up formation within the campus community by providing a growing array of entrepreneurial resources, programs, and activities online.

http://nyu.edu/entrepreneur essentially presents four sections for the budding entrepreneur:

NYU Ventures contains profiles of the many startups that have emerged from the university and describes new opportunities at NYU to add to this rich history of entrepreneurship.

Innovation Venture Fund gives NYU entrepreneurs the chance to apply to a $20-million venture fund created by the University in 2010 to spur the commercialization of technologies developed at the university and to provide "seed" funding to startup companies based on those technologies. 

Another section (For Entrepreneurs) contains the tools and resources entrepreneurs will typically need to start their new venture: tips on how to develop a pitch/plan, entrepreneurship course listings, faculty, student organizations, meet-ups, newsletters, blogs, incubators, accelerators, and more.

The fourth section lists upcoming events and all the latest NYU entrepreneurship and Innovation Venture Fund news.

The site has also launched a new blog called NYU Entrepreneurs' Network (NYUEN) which would bring together observations, analysis and discussion on related issues from 18 graduate and undergraduate organizations representing over 4,000 students from 10 schools and colleges across NYU.

NYU is known to have a rich history of incubating start ups in IT, life sciences and clean tech areas. A release from the University specifies that between 2004 and 2008 year, it ranked first among U.S. universities in income from technology licensing. More than 50 start-ups have been formed around NYU discoveries and ideas over the last 20 years including Sugen (acquired by Pharmacia/Pfizer), Smart Therapeutics (acquired by Boston Scientific), Anaderm (acquired by Pfizer), TouchCo, Perceptive Pixel, and Spin Transfer Technologies, among others.
