Ahead of Geneva Motor Show, Nissan Motor Co has unveiled the ESFLOW, a futuristic sports car that runs on "green" electric power.

Nissan has captured the excitement of a sports car and the environmental benefits of an electric vehicle and blended them into one dramatic two-seater concept ESFLOW.

ESFLOW is not an existing ICE (internal combustion engine) powered vehicle that has been adapted to run on electricity, but a sports car that's been designed from the outset as a Zero Emission vehicle, the carmaker said in a statement.

The Esflow has a range of about 240 kilometers (149 miles) per charge, significantly more than the current Nissan Leaf which claims to get about 100 miles per charge.

It can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers (62 miles) in 5 seconds, according to Nissan. Other features include LED lights, LCD screens, and small rear-view cameras mounted near the car's side mirrors.

The ESFLOW concept will be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, slated to take place between March 3 and March 13.
