Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could be doing an "Ozil" on Real Madrid holding midfielder Sami Khedira after hinting interest, yet remaining mum on the matter.
The French mentor's patience was pushed to the limit in a press conference after their 5-1 victory against Benfica last Saturday when reporters asked him if he had made any move for the Germany international.
"You want me always to buy more. Where do I put them all?" Wenger said.
"What is enquire for you?"
"But If I read the newspapers, he (Khedira) is available. Thank you."
It can be recalled that Wenger worked discreetly last summer to snatch Mesut Ozil from the Santiago Bernabeu, distancing himself from the matter before surprising the footballing world by announcing the former Schalke man's arrival at the last minute.
The north Londoners are believed to still be looking for an alternative defensive midfielder, with Mathieu Flamini as the only legitimate option to date.
