Apple's iOS 8 will not be available until fall but the company made sure people already had a good idea of what it has in store. During Tim Cook's keynote speech at the Worldwide Developers Conference, he revealed Apple's increasing efforts in transforming the platform friendlier to developers. According to the keynote some of the iOS 8 features include Messaging improvements, Health app and Predictive Keyboard. Apart from these greatly highlighted features, there are three other functions that prove iPhone 6 will be a revolutionary device.

According to a report by Mac Rumors, the iOS 8 update offers changes in WiFi calling, time-lapse mode, Message settings including grayscale mode. The following suggests some of the most interesting features to come with the iOS 8 and which will eventually find their way to the iPhone 6 upon release.

Randomized MAC addresses

The upcoming iOS can now help users avoid prying companies and countless advertisements through iOS's MAC address randomization when searching for WiFi connections. This will make it harder for companies to obtain and monitor the customer's location data. Every iOS device gets its unique MAC address. Before, companies can use this to collect location data and other information through WiFi scanning. This time, iOS 8 will work with a random and locally assigned MAC addresses which may not be entirely the real address of the device.

Safari Credit Card Scanning

Through iOS 8, Apple's Safari can use the camera to obtain and record credit numbers. This offers a faster option than inputting the numbers on the device when shopping online. At present, the App Store offers this scanning function where people can scan their iTune cards. The same mechanism will be used for Safari's credit card scanning.

Indoor Mapping

The iOS 8 will introduce iPhone motion sensors and M7 processor to the CoreLocation API. This will allow venue managers or owners to develop indoor positioning systems. For instance, when applied to areas like the Westfield Center in San Francisco, San Jose Airport and the San Francisco's California Academy of Sciences, people can use the system to project points of interest or floor numbers.

The iPhone 6 will reportedly be released in September. Forbes reported about Apple clearing the patent for a special construction process using sapphire glass and liquidmetal. This can allow the company to produce bendable and shock-proof displays.
