2014 Billboard Music Awards Live Stream: Five Amazing Reasons to Watch the Show

One of the biggest nights of music, the 2014 Billboard Music Awards is happening in a few hours and tonight's show will be hosted by actor and rapper Ludacris. This year's BBMA red carpet event will be hosted by "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks, Lance Bass and Ted Stryker as they will provide fans with exclusive red carpet access.

The 2014 Billboard Music Awards live stream will also give fans a blow by blow updates on celebrity arrivals, interviews, special music performance and a Vine 360 Station for talent to show off their red carpet fashion.  The award show will be streamed live online through Yahoo and digital feed can be watched at Billboard Music Awards.com. and Billboard.com.

Held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the tonight's show will be streamed for two hours beginning at 6 pm from the "Samsung Red Carpet LIVE!" to the award show.

Here are the five amazing reason why you need to watch the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.

1. To kick off the main event, multi-platinum singer and songwriter Cher Lloyd will perform on the red carpet to start heating up the event. The "X-Factor" UK alum will perform her hit single "Sirens" from her upcoming second album "Sorry I'm Late" due to be released on May 27.

2. From "X-Factor" album to "American Idol" coach. Jennifer Lopez is this year's recipient for the 2014 Billboard Music Awards Icon Award. This prestigious honor recognises Lopez's achievement and contribution to the music industry and she will be the first woman to receive this lifetime achievement award. Past winners include Prince, Stevie Wonder and Neil Diamond.

3. This year's performers include Luke Bryan, Jason Derulo, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, John Legend, OneRepublic and 5 Seconds of Summer. Ariana Grande will perform her new single "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea, Katy Perry is set to perform "Birthday" via satellite and country superstars Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood to perform their hit single "Somethin'Bad."

4. Breakout stars Imagine Dragons and Lorde are also set to bring their hits on stage. Both artists are leading this year's nominees with 12 nominations each.
