2013 Book to Film Adaptations: From 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' to 'Hush Hush' [PHOTOS & VIDEOS]

If there is anything else to look forward to this year, it would be the amazing line-up of films set for release. "Les Miserables" has already hit theatres worldwide and has been a trending topic since. What other films set for this year's release are worthy of attention? Read on to find out.

"The Hobbit", "Les Miserables" and "Anna Karenina" are just a few classic books turned into films set for release this year. While the classics are of course unbeaten when it comes to delivering exquisite storylines and heavy drama, nothing beats the contemporary beat of today's books turned into films.

One book to film adaptation that is worthy of attention and hype is the highly anticipated sequel to "Hunger Games", "Catching Fire." Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth reprise their roles as Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorn respectively. Sam Claflin is the new recruit of the cast who nabbed the role of Finnick Odair.

A said parody of "Twilight", "Warm Bodies" is out by February of this year as well. The film stars Lawrence's boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult. Hoult stars as a flesh -eating zombie, who ironically falls in love with Teresa Palmer.

Another film out this year that has been inspired by the popular teenage books written by Cassie Clare is "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones." The film stars Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell-Bower. With demons, vampires, werewolves and fairies plus a mix of angels, it's a movie that promises exciting twists plot twists and turns.

Fans of the popular book, "Divergent" will also be glad to hear that the book is set to be turned into a film. Casting has already begun and the shoot is said to start by April of this year. According to web tabloids, three popular Hollywood stars have already auditioned for the role as Tobias namely Alex Pettyfer, Lucas Till and Jeremy Irvine.

Taking cue from fallen angels and demons, "Hush Hush" written by Becca Fitzpatrick is also set to be turned into a film this 2013. Casting is also set to begin early this year. Other famous books turned film that will be out this year include "Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters", "Beautiful Creatures" and "The Host."
